Several food allergens, especially allergens in raw foods, can cause an allergic reaction when inhaled or when these allergens come into contact with skin, especially abraded skin. This response can be particularly problematic when it occurs in job-related settings. Baker's asthma and seafood-associated asthma and contact dermatitis are of particular concern.
Baker's asthma is one of the most common causes of occupational asthma
