Article Analysis: Dementia, Stroke and Sugary and Artificially Sweetened Drinks

There have been two papers (1,2) recently published by Pase, et al. using data from the Framingham Heart Study that have been highlighted in the news

These studies note associations between sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) (based on food frequency questionnaires) and preclinical Alzheimer's disease (1) and between frequent consumption of artificially sweetened soft drinks (≥1/day versus none) with incident of stroke and dementia (2).
